| James A. Autry, a former Fortune 500 senior executive, is the author of ten books, and his writings have appeared in several anthologies and magazines. He consults and speaks on leadership in this country and abroad. James was a featured poet in Bill Moyers' 1989 PBS series, The Power of the Word, and Garrison Keillor has featured his work on The Writer's Corner on NPR. He received a BA in Journalism from the University of Mississippi and holds four honorary degrees. In 1997-98, he held an endowed chair in leadership at Iowa State University, and has received the "Lifetime Service to the Public Humanities" award from the Iowa Humanities Board. |

| Lee Clancey brings a variety of experiences from the business, government and education sectors to her position as President and CEO of the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition to serving as Mayor of Cedar Rapids for six years, she has served as Executive Director of the downtown Renaissance Group, as a Business & Industry Training Coordinator at Kirkwood Community College and as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Iowa. Most recently, Lee has served as a partner in Tricend, a business consulting firm, and as a mediator with Compass Mediation Services. She currently holds leadership positions in numerous local and state organizations, including the Cedar Rapids Downtown Rotary, Tanager Place, Cornell College, Diversity Focus, Technology Corridor Business Alliance and the Iowa State Judicial Grievance Commission. She and her husband, Jay, live in Cedar Rapids. They have three adult sons. |

| Reverend Elizabeth Dilley is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC) and has served as Pastor and Teacher at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Red Oak since August 2003. She also works part-time as a Regional Educator for Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa. In addition, she serves as the board chair for the Iowa Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, working for the past year to rebuild the board and grow the coalition in Iowa. Elizabeth was born and raised in Sonoma, California and attended New York University, graduating magna cum laude in 1998 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Educational Theatre and a minor in Political Science. She attended Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA, where she graduated with the Master of Divinity degree in 2003. She lives in Red Oak with her beagle, Leroy Brown, and in her spare time serves on the Red Oak School Board, the YES (Youth Experiencing Success) Mentoring Program Board, and is active in the Montgomery County Ministerial Fellowship and the Iowa Conference UCC’s outdoor ministry program. |

| Susan Knapp is Vice President of Marketing of Knapp Properties, Inc. In 1976, Susan founded SKT Construction, specializing in residential and commercial remodel and new construction. After selling her company in 1992, she joined Iowa Realty Commercial Brokers, where she quickly became one of their top sales agents. |
| In addition to her sales and marketing career, Susan holds many unique types of recognition. She is the co-founder and first president of the Association of Women Contractors, a past member of the National Association of Women Business Owners and was appointed by Governor Robert D. Ray to the State Employment and Training Council. She was a member of the Graceland University Board of Trustees. She received the prestigious Women of Enterprise Award from the Avon Corporation and the Small Business Administration in 1988. She also is a member of various advisory boards and currently serves on the Des Moines Art Center and Planned Parenthood Board of Directors and is active in fundraising in the Des Moines area. She authored the book “Bells Goes To The Fair,” published in 2002 and selected by Iowa First Lady Christie Vilsack for her literacy program. She donated all proceeds from the sale of her book to the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation. Susan graduated from Valley High School in 1970. She attended DMACC and Drake University. |

| Dr. Andy McGuire is presently the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President for the American Republic Insurance Company and World Insurance Company. This role includes strategic direction for the Enterprise and clinical oversight of Medical Management, Pharmacy Management, Risk Selection, and Network Management. Previously, Andrea was Vice President, Medical Director for Wellmark, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Iowa and South Dakota. She is a nuclear medicine physician by training. Andrea’s academic career included research with multiple publications on positron emission tomography focused on breast cancer utilizing radioactive labeled estrogen at Washington University School of Medicine and Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. |
| She is currently involved in State and National Health Policy including a member of the CPT panel of the American Medical Association charged with overseeing coding for all health care professionals and Chief Medical Officers Committee of the Association of Health Insurance Plans. |
| Andrea serves on multiple boards focused on her interests in health, woman and children. She presently serves on University of Iowa School of Public Health Board of Advisors, and the Des Moines Partnership Board. She is a member of the Mercy Hospital Foundation Board and a prior member of the House of Mercy Board of Directors. She is the President of the Creighton University National Alumni Board and a member of the Board of Directors of Creighton University. Andrea is involved with the Society of Nuclear Medicine and has previously worked with low level radioactive waste committee and radiation safety committee. |
| She is currently involved with early childhood issues through the Woman’s Leadership Connection of the United Way and Chair of the Advocacy Committee for Woman’s Leadership. She has been involved in many ways with the United Way including co-chair of the Woman’s Leadership, and co-chair of the loaned executive program. Her advocacy for health, women and children lead her to run for Lt. Governor of Iowa to emphasize these issues. Andrea has received many accolades including the Des Moines Business Record’s “Women of Influence.” Andrea’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Creighton University and a Medical Doctorate from Creighton University. She has a Masters of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. Andrea is married to Dan McGuire, an orthopedic spine surgeon and lives in Des Moines. They have 7 children ranging in ages from 10-20 years of age. |

| Alba Perez currently serves as the Diversity Development Director of The Greater Des Moines Partnership. Originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Alba moved to Des Moines 22 years ago, and now, along with her two children, Jorge and Aida Marie, calls Iowa home. In her current position, Alba is charged with programming educational opportunities on the issue of diversity for member companies and extended the program to include the Greater Des Moines community. In addition to her current responsibilities at the Partnership, Alba also promotes and produces cultural events in Des Moines. Alba has provided assistance to the International Relations group in the Partnership’s Latin American trade programs. She was a Business Record Publications’ Forty Under 40 Honoree in 2004, and received the Latina Business Leader Award in 2004 from the State of Iowa Human Rights Division, as well as the 2007 Passport to Prosperity Honoree from the Iowa Council for International Understanding. While in Honduras, Alba studied Foreign Languages (English-French) at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras - UNAH. |

| Louise (Lou) Porter is currently the President and Development Director, KBBG Radio in Waterloo, Iowa, a position she has held since 1980. Lou is host and/or producer for the KBBG programs “The Jimmy Porter Show,” “Mayor’s Update” and “Jennings Way.” She has served on many community committees involving education, employment and health with organizations such as the Cedar Valley Cancer Committee, Covenant Foundation of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, United Sisters of Black Hawk County, Wartburg National Advisory Board and the National Black Child Development Institute. She is a member of Payne African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. She received her B.A. in Public Administration from Northeastern University in Chicago, Illinois. |

| Mary P. Stier is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Brilliance Group, LLC, based in Des Moines, Iowa. Prior to this, Mary enjoyed a 25 year newspaper publishing career with the Gannett Co., Inc. She served as President and Publisher of The Des Moines Register, the Rockford (IL) Register Star and the Iowa City Press-Citizen. Mary also served as Senior Group President for Gannett's Midwest and SunCoast Newspaper Groups. These publishing groups included 26 newspapers, over 350 non-daily publications and 27 web sites in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Louisiana and Florida. She was a member of Gannett's Newspaper Operating Committee which set direction and policy for Gannett's newspaper division. Mary chaired Gannett's "Beyond 2000" program which created strategies for the future of newspapers and chaired Gannett's "RX Task Force," which developed strategies and prototypes to attract and retain younger readers. These highly innovative approaches were adopted companywide and are modeled throughout the industry even today. Her community involvement currently includes serving on the Civic Center of Des Moines Board of Trustees. She has served in past Chair positions on the 2005 Greater Des Moines Partnership and Community Development Board, corporate chair of the JDRF 2002 Hope Gala and past member of the Drake University Board of Trustees. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa, Phi Beta Kappa, and received an Honorary Doctorate, Humane Letters, from Grandview College. |

| Thomas R. Temple is the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA), a position he has held since 1980. In addition to serving as chief executive officer of IPA, he also serves as CEO of the Iowa Pharmacy Foundation (IPF) and Pharmacy Network of Iowa (PNI) -- two subsidiary corporations of the Iowa Pharmacy Association. |
| Thomas is a member of several professional organizations including the IPA, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations (NASPA). A past president of NASPA, he has served as a Board member for Quality Assurance, Inc., the Pharmacy Marketing Group and Health Connect, and as a member of numerous professional committees including the USP Membership Committee, the Medic Alert National Task Force, ACPE's CE Advisory Council, ACPE's Doctoral Fellowship Committee, the State Advisory Panel to the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and Advisory Committees for Drake University and the University of Iowa Colleges of Pharmacy. He has also served as a member of Pharmacy Advisory Boards for Upjohn, Glaxo, Merck and Mallinckrodt. |
| Thomas’s leadership has been recognized through receipt of several awards including APhA’s Gloria Neimeyer-Francke Leadership Mentor Award, the University of Illinois’ College of Pharmacy Alumnus of the Year Award and the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy Distinguished Alumni Award. Thomas received a B.S. degree in Biology from Northern Illinois University (1971), a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois (1975) and a M.S. degree in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Iowa (1977). |

| Senator Maggie Tinsman served as the 41st District Senator for Iowa from 1989 to 2006, and as Assistant Minority Leader from 1991 to 1996. During her 18 years as a State Senator, she has served as Chair, Co-Chair, and/or Ranking Member for three Senate subcommittees that appropriate funds for health, human services and human rights programs. She has also served on several Iowa State Committees, including the Healthy Community Advisory Committee, the Medicaid Advisory Committee (14 years), Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Commission (6 years) and the Covering Kids & Families Now Task Force. In addition, she served as the Commissioner for the Department of Elder Affairs (8 years), on the Executive Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures, and, prior to being elected State Senator, was elected to the Scott County Board of Supervisors (11 years). Maggie has recently been appointed to the Lt. Governor’s Commission on Wellness and Healthy Living, and continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of Iowa, the Early Childhood Business Community Council and the Iowa Initiative to Reduce Unintended Pregnancies, among others. |
| She received her M.S.W. from the University of Iowa in 1974, and is actively involved with the Episcopal Church on both a State and National level. She has been recognized for her leadership by the American Heart Association, the Coalition of Family and Children Services in Iowa, and the Iowa Coalition for Housing and Homelessness, American Lung Association of Iowa, among others. |
